digitalfrk.com doesn’t currently set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies are used, such as Cloudflare security cookies when needed. Optional analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and only load if you accept them. The full policy below applies.
- Law: UK PECR and UK GDPR
- Statistics: Cloudflare, cookie-free
- Consent: rejecting is as easy as accepting
This policy explains how digitalfrk.com uses cookies and similar technologies, in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work; others are used for analytics or advertising and need your consent.
2. Cookies we use
We don’t currently set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Visiting the site, booking a call or sending an inquiry doesn’t require a cookie.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
Security cookies such as __cf_bm (only when needed) | Cloudflare | Can be set to protect the site against bots and abuse | Strictly necessary |
Browser session storage (wpEmojiSettingsSupports) | WordPress | Remembers whether your browser can display emoji, for the current tab only | Strictly necessary |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | WordPress | Only set for site administrators who log in | Strictly necessary |
dfx_consent | digitalfrk.com | Remembers your cookie choices (accepted or rejected categories and the date). Only set after you make a choice in our cookie banner. Expires after 6 months, when we ask again | Strictly necessary |
We use Cloudflare’s privacy-friendly website statistics, which don’t use cookies or track you across sites.
3. Optional cookies and your consent
We may add analytics (for example Google Analytics 4, possibly through Google Tag Manager) and advertising measurement to understand how the site is used. These are off by default. They only load if you choose “Accept all” or switch them on under “Manage choices” in our cookie banner. “Reject all” is always as easy as accepting.
We use Google Consent Mode: our pages tell Google’s tags that consent is denied unless you’ve accepted, and no Google tag is loaded before you accept.
If we switch on Google Analytics, it would set the cookies below, and only after you accept Analytics:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors to produce anonymous usage statistics | 2 years | Analytics (consent) |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your session for those statistics | 2 years | Analytics (consent) |
Marketing cookies (for example for measuring ads) are a separate category that’s also off unless you accept it. We’ll list any such cookie here before we use it. The banner only appears once optional cookies are actually in use; until then there’s nothing to consent to.
4. Changing your choice
When optional cookies are in use, you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything that happened before.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
